Education is considered very important in Argentina. They have a literacy rate of just under 98%, which is one of the highest in all the Latin American countries. In Argentina there are two choices given to you regarding your education, you can have six years of primary school followed by six years of secondary, or you can have seven years of primary school and five years of secondary, counting the final year of pre-school making it a total of 13 years of complimentary mandatory schooling.
