Living in Kuwait
Kuwait is a very small country and more than half of its population is made up of immigrants. The people of Kuwait do not prefer working in the private sector, they would rather have government jobs, and so these companies have to hire employees from other countries. Most of these immigrants belong to India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Philippines.

Politics in Kuwait
The Al-Sabah family, which is the royal family of Kuwait, has been ruling over the country since 1752.
The emir (ruler) of Kuwait, who is the head of the country, has always been an heir of the Al-Sabah family.
He is selected by a family council, which is headed by the prominent members of the Al-Sabah family. The National Assembly, which is a 50-member elected parliament, has the right to disapprove the emir. Once the emir is selected, he then appoints a Prime Minister from the ruling family. The Prime Minister is the head of the government in Kuwait.

Kuwait is the fourth richest country, and its currency, the Kuwaiti Dinar is the highest-valued unit of currency in the world.
The main source of earning of the country is through export of petroleum.
Being a tax-free country, Kuwait highly depends on the petroleum business. This Asian country also provides financial services to many countries across the globe.

Schools in Kuwait
Kuwait is constantly striving to improve its educational facilities and is allocating more funds to the education system each passing year.
The literacy rate of this country is 96%.
The schooling years in Kuwait include four stages – Kindergarten (2 years), primary (5 years), intermediate (4 years) and secondary (3 years).
All these four stages, as well as higher education in Kuwait, are free for its citizens. There are both public and private schools in Kuwait.
Many of these private schools are directed towards foreign nationals and they teach the UK or US curriculum.
The language of instruction in these schools is English, unlike the public schools that teach in Arabic.
Weather in Kuwait
Due to its location, there is a considerable difference in the summer and winter temperatures in Kuwait.
In summers, the average daily temperature ranges from 42 to 48°C, whereas in winters, the temperature drops as low as -6°C.
The summer in this country is very long and there are frequent dust storms in the months of March and April.
From mid-August, the air in Kuwait becomes more humid and in September and October, Kuwait experiences a few thunderstorms.
Thanks to the rainfall, the temperature in these months stay moderate.
The weather starts getting cold in the months of December, January, and February. However, the day temperature during these winter months does not drop below 15 °C.
